About the Position

VGreen Technology Solutions (VGreenTEK) is seeking a talented Video Editor to join our team based in Ettumanoor, Kottayam, Kerala. This full-time, on-site role offers a salary up to ₹20,000 monthly, commensurate with experience and skills.

Role Overview and Duties

The successful candidate will be entrusted with transforming raw video footage into compelling, high-quality videos tailored for digital platforms including social media and corporate outlets. The role demands a keen understanding of video pacing, storytelling, and current social media preferences, along with the ability to work efficiently under strict deadlines.

• Edit various video types such as reels, YouTube videos, advertisements, promotional material, testimonials, and corporate presentations.
• Produce both short-form content (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) and longer video formats.
• Handle technical editing tasks: cutting footage, creating smooth transitions, color correction and grading, and audio mixing.
• Add supplementary elements like music, captions, subtitles, voiceovers, sound effects, and basic motion graphics.
• Collaborate with content creators, designers, and production teams to interpret scripts, storyboards, and branding goals.
• Deliver final products in platform-specific formats, resolutions, and aspect ratios.
• Incorporate timely feedback from clients and team members, revising edits accordingly.
• Maintain organized archives of footage and project files for efficient retrieval and backup.
• Manage multiple video projects concurrently and meet demanding timelines.
• Stay informed on evolving editing styles, trends, and platform requirements to keep content engaging and relevant.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or degree in Multimedia, Visual Communication, Film/Video Production, or related discipline; equivalent professional experience accepted.
• Minimum two years of experience specializing in video editing.
• Proficiency in video editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable software.
• Basic competency with After Effects or similar programs for motion graphics and animated text.
• Strong artistic sense of timing, rhythm, and storytelling technique.
• Capability to produce engaging, fast-paced short-form videos tailored for social media.
• Understanding of audio synchronization and basic audio editing techniques.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to manage responsibilities independently.

Preferred Expertise

• Experience editing Malayalam language content, including subtitling and adapting to regional audience tastes.
• Familiarity with editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, and AI-assisted video editing software.
• Fundamental videography skills including camera work.
• Basic knowledge of sound design and audio mixing techniques.
• Awareness of social media trends to optimize audience engagement.
• A robust portfolio or showreel showcasing previous video editing projects.
