About the Role
We are seeking a creative and meticulous Podcast Video Editor to manage the entire post-production workflow for our video podcasts. This role involves handling both long-form podcast episodes and short-form clips tailored for platforms such as Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other social media.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of narrative flow, rhythm, sound design, color aesthetics, and the dynamics of social media content, moving beyond mere video splicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit extended video podcast episodes using raw camera feeds and audio inputs.
- Synchronize and edit footage from multiple cameras and audio sources.
- Incorporate dynamic camera cuts, zooms, punch-ins, and smooth transitions while preserving the natural conversation flow.
- Conduct professional color correction and foundational color grading.
- Enhance and clean dialogue audio, including noise suppression and balancing sound levels.
- Add subtitles, captions, visual graphics, and lower thirds as needed.
- Create captivating Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts derived from long podcast footage.
- Spotlight compelling moments, hooks, and soundbites well-suited for short-form content.
- Design engaging introduction sequences for short videos.
- Ensure consistent branding throughout all podcast episodes and social media content.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain a steady publishing cadence.
- Organize all project assets including files, footage, audio, and finalized exports efficiently.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Familiarity with Adobe After Effects is a plus.
- Experience editing podcasts, interviews, YouTube videos, or similar long-format content.
- Understanding social media trends and short-form content creation.
- Strong narrative and pacing skills.
- Knowledge of color correction and basic grading techniques.
- Audio editing and mixing skills focused on dialogue clarity.
- Capability to work with footage from multiple camera angles.
- Independent ability to transform raw footage into professional final video episodes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in motion graphics and animation.
- Proficiency in crafting high-impact Reels and Shorts.
- Understanding of YouTube viewer retention strategies and social media editing styles.
- Experience handling professional-grade cameras and 4K resolution footage.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The editor will collaborate closely with the podcast production team to produce:
- Long-form content: complete podcast episodes, YouTube-ready exports, professional audio, color, and multi-camera editing.
- Short-form content: Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, promotional clips, and engaging highlights.
Compensation
The salary range offered is INR 30,000 to 40,000 per month.
