About the Role
The Balance Group is seeking a skilled Video Editor and Motion Graphics Designer based in Hyderabad to join their office team. This role demands more than basic clip cutting; it requires a deep understanding of storytelling, pacing, sound design, transitions, and visual language to transform raw footage into captivating content.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a variety of video content including storytelling reels, cinematic reels, Instagram reels, client testimonial videos, event videos and aftermovies, podcast episodes and clips, brand films, product/service videos, social media ads, video intros and outros, motion graphics, typography animations, and transitions with visual effects.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrate strong video editing expertise with a sharp storytelling focus beyond just footage assembly.
- Possess good knowledge of motion graphics principles and software.
- Exhibit a solid sense of pacing, composition, and visual narrative techniques.
- Understand music and sound design, employing beat-based editing techniques.
- Produce clean, engaging motion graphics and animated elements.
- Show ability to work with raw footage to create polished final outputs.
- Adapt editing style to align with various brand identities and client requirements.
- Show attention to detail and enthusiasm for creative experimentation.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Technical Tools
Proficiency is expected in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Mastery of every tool is not mandatory, but comfort and high proficiency with selected ones is required.
Cultural Fit
- Constantly analyze reels and editing styles.
- Value the impact of the first few seconds of a video.
- Understand the importance of meaningful versus unnecessary transitions.
- Create cinematic effects from simple footage.
- Prioritize emotional engagement through editing.

Experience & Location
Applicants are expected to have between 1 to 2 years of experience; however, freshers with a strong portfolio will also be considered. The position is based in Hyderabad and requires working from the office.
