Role Overview

We seek a passionate Motion Designer deeply engaged with social media trends, especially reels. The role centers on motion design, requiring you to transform concepts about AI search into engaging short videos, reels, and animated visuals that capture audience attention and halt scrolling. Additionally, you will manage the posting schedule to maintain consistent weekly content delivery.

This is a hands-on, full-time role where you will be responsible for animating, editing, designing, and publishing content while directly collaborating with the company founder. Experience levels are flexible; freshers are welcome to apply as the emphasis lies on the quality of work rather than years of experience. Applicants will be given an assignment to demonstrate their capability; strong performance in this assignment is key to hiring decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce motion graphics and animated explainers, including kinetic typography, animated charts, and product or screen walkthroughs.
• Edit various short form videos such as reels, shorts, and LinkedIn clips using raw footage, screen captures, and talking head videos.
• Design static visual content for social media platforms comprising carousels, post graphics, thumbnails, and cover imagery.
• Oversee the social media calendar ensuring a reliable and steady publishing routine across all channels.
• Analyze performance metrics including views, watch time, saves, and shares to refine upcoming content.
• Maintain brand consistency across all content and create reusable templates to increase production efficiency.
• Identify emerging trends and formats early, adapting them suitably to align with the brand voice.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient in motion design by creating intentional movement of typography, shapes, and footage.
• Experienced with Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro or comparable tools such as DaVinci Resolve or CapCut.
• Possesses a keen aesthetic sense covering typography, pacing, color usage, and layout composition.
• Ability to craft compelling hooks that engage viewers within the first two seconds of a reel.
• Understanding of content performance dynamics on various social media platforms.
• Fluent written and verbal English communication and openness to receiving quick feedback.
• Capable of independently managing tasks from brief to published social media post.

Preferred Attributes

• Between 1 and 3 years' experience in motion design, video editing, or social media (fresh talent also encouraged).
• A portfolio or social media presence demonstrating your creative output, including personal projects.
• Familiarity with tools like Figma or Canva for designing static visuals.
• Experience employing AI-based image and video creation tools.
• Interest in domains like B2B SaaS, Artificial Intelligence, or digital marketing.
• Skills in audio editing and caption styling to enhance video content.
