Job description
Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor position located in the Greater Coimbatore Area with Aprende DaVinci Resolve. The editor will be responsible for transforming raw recordings into refined videos for both educational and promotional uses, mainly utilizing DaVinci Resolve software. Daily tasks include organizing media assets, cutting and arranging clips, adding transitions and effects, and performing detailed color correction and grading to maintain visual consistency.
Collaboration and Quality Assurance
The role requires close cooperation with instructors and the creative team to understand project goals, producing motion graphics and visual enhancements to assist learning outcomes. The editor must ensure all final outputs align with quality standards, brand identity, and deadlines.
Project Management and Workflow
Keeping project files organized, managing backups, and continually optimizing workflow processes to raise efficiency and output quality are essential responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Proven expertise in video production and editing, capable of assembling raw footage into cohesive and professional video content.
- Skilled in video color grading techniques including correction and visual style development for project coherence.
- Experienced in creating motion graphics and supportive visual elements to enhance narrative and educational materials.
- Advanced proficiency with DaVinci Resolve or comparable high-level editing software; knowledge of audio editing and sound design considered beneficial.
- Excellent attention to detail and visual acuity, with capacity to adhere to brand guidelines and technical specifications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with instructors and creative team members in an on-site setting.
- Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines consistently, and respond constructively to feedback in a dynamic creative environment.
- Relevant academic background or demonstrable experience in film, media, animation, or related disciplines, supported by a portfolio or showreel presenting previous work.
