Job description
Role Overview
We seek a Video Editor capable of crafting compelling narratives through video, focusing on storytelling, pacing, and visual excellence beyond mere clip assembly. The role involves producing diverse content ranging from brand and social media videos to product demonstrations, UI animations, and short-form media.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform raw footage into polished final videos emphasizing story flow, timing, and visual appeal.
- Collaborate on concepts, script development, and storyboarding to effectively translate ideas into video format.
- Develop product and tool explainer videos simplifying complex features for clearer understanding.
- Create UI animations and walkthroughs that demonstrate product interfaces and user flows engagingly.
- Convert static product screens into dynamic sequences for demos, launches, presentations, and social media content.
- Incorporate typography, transitions, sound design, music, subtitles, and other elements to enhance final edits.
- Reformat and shorten existing visual content to suit various requirements.
- Utilize AI-based video, image, voice, and creative applications to improve workflow and end results.
- Partner with designers, product teams, and stakeholders to communicate key messages effectively rather than just editing footage.
- Ensure consistency and maintain high-quality standards across different video projects and formats.
Candidate Profile
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro is essential; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is expected.
- Experience with Adobe After Effects is highly beneficial, especially for creating animations, transitions, and visual enhancements.
- An interest or background in UI/UX and graphic design, along with a good eye for layout, typography, hierarchy, and spacing, is advantageous.
- Strong visual sensibility, attention to detail, and the confidence to innovate storytelling approaches.
Portfolio Requirements
An updated showreel or portfolio showcasing recent work related to video editing, storytelling, product videos, UI animations, explainers, motion graphics, or creative experimental visuals is crucial.
