Empower Live specializes in creating large-scale events that influence urban culture such as popular club nights and upscale weddings. They oversee the entire event production cycle including talent management, production logistics, hospitality, and brand activation. Their work environment is dynamic, emphasizing creativity, meticulous detail, and collaborative teamwork across diverse event types.
Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated full-time Video Editor based at the Kolkata office to work alongside the creative and production departments. The role involves editing footage from live events, piecing together engaging narratives, and producing refined videos suitable for both online and offline distribution. Responsibilities include footage organization, editing sequences, applying visual effects and transitions, syncing audio with video, and preparing final outputs according to specifications. Additional tasks include color grading, incorporating motion graphics and other visual elements, and adhering closely to brand standards and event themes. Candidates must manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and actively contribute creative enhancements to Empower Live's visual storytelling.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in video editing and production, specifically within event or live-performance contexts.
- Skilled in color grading to maintain consistent and appealing visual quality.
- Experience creating and integrating motion graphics to support narrative and branding.
- Expertise with professional editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects.
- Deep understanding of visual storytelling techniques including pacing and audio synchronization.
- Strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven on-site workplace.
- Formal education or certification in film, media, design, or related disciplines is advantageous, supported by a robust portfolio demonstrating comprehensive past work.
