Role Overview

We seek a skilled Video Editor to transform raw materials such as footage and product captures into engaging launch videos, social media content, and advertisements that captivate and retain viewers. This hands-on creative position demands expertise in storytelling, pacing, sound, and motion design. The editor will collaborate on concept development, identify compelling narrative hooks, and oversee the editing process to the final cut.

Responsibilities

• Produce launch and brand films integrating storytelling, product showcases, and strong visual direction.
• Create founder-centric content from interviews and behind-the-scenes videos.
• Develop short-form videos for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn with compelling hooks and intentional pacing.
• Craft paid advertising creatives featuring varied openers, messaging, and calls to action.
• Bring products to life through screen captures, motion graphics, kinetic typography, and clear visual explanations.
• Handle all post-production activities, including footage selection, editing, color grading, sound design, music, captions, and final exports.
• Utilize AI creative tools to enhance visual elements, voiceovers, and other assets to improve quality or expedite production.
• Maintain visual consistency across formats and channels.
• Refine content using performance analytics such as retention, watch time, and conversion rates for future improvements.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrates a strong portfolio showcasing storytelling expertise, high-quality editing, and refined visual taste.
• Proficient in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro, with motion design capabilities using After Effects or similar software.
• Expertise in crafting captivating openings within the initial three seconds to hold audience attention.
• Ability to distill lengthy recordings into concise, engaging narratives.
• Understanding of how music, silence, sound effects, and pacing influence emotional impact.
• Comfortable integrating AI tools such as Runway, Kling, Sora, and ElevenLabs into creative workflows.
• Works independently, adheres to deadlines, and welcomes direct feedback.
• Balances efficiency with quality, paying attention to details that enhance polish.

Experience in SaaS product videos, founder storytelling, documentary style content, or paid social advertising is an advantage.
