Key Responsibilities

• Edit professional podcasts, interviews, and long-form YouTube videos including multi-camera footage with seamless cuts and appropriate camera angle selection.
• Synchronize audio professionally with tasks such as noise reduction and sound enhancement.
• Add visual elements like B-roll, transitions, graphics, images, and branded sequences including intros and outros, ensuring consistent brand identity across all videos.
• Create captivating short-form content, including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook videos, emphasizing strong hooks within the first few seconds to enhance viewer retention.
• Apply fast-paced editing techniques with kinetic typography, zooms, transitions, and effects appealing to social media trends while maintaining quality.
• Convert long-form podcasts into multiple engaging short clips for social media.
• Design professional thumbnails, title cards, social media graphics, video overlays, lower thirds, infographics, and astrology-themed visuals like charts and planetary diagrams.
• Produce 2D motion graphics and animations including animated text, titles, logos, icons, and diagrams to simplify complex astrology concepts.
• Implement professional sound design, music selection, synchronization, audio mixing, and incorporate sound effects, ambience, and transitions.
• Perform color correction, grading, green-screen compositing, and basic VFX and compositing tasks to enhance visual appeal.

Required Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
• Professional-level Adobe Photoshop skills.
• Strong knowledge of professional video workflows including audio editing, mixing, color correction, and grading.
• Preferred additional software familiarity: Adobe Illustrator, DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Audition.
• Experience in motion graphics, 2D animation, basic 3D, and AI-assisted video production technologies are advantageous.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a robust portfolio or showreel demonstrating professional editing and motion graphics capabilities.
• Experienced in podcast editing and creating short-form social media content.
• Understands storytelling, video pacing, audience retention, and modern social media content formats.
• Has a strong visual design sense with attention to composition and aesthetics.
• Capable of independently turning raw footage into ready-to-publish content.
• Highly creative, detail-oriented, deadline-conscious, and collaborative within content teams.
• Open to experimenting with new visual styles, animations, and editing approaches while maintaining brand consistency.

Important Notes

This role is for professional video editors only, not suitable for beginners or casual editors. Candidates must supply a portfolio or showreel demonstrating expertise in Premiere Pro, After Effects, motion graphics, and professional editing.
