Vice President – FX/Macro Middle Office

About the Role

We are supporting a major global investment bank known for its extensive international footprint, particularly in Asia, to recruit a Vice President specialized in FX Middle Office operations. This position is embedded within the Middle Office team that supports FX trading activities across Asia, ensuring precise trade capture and comprehensive lifecycle management for the firm’s trading books. The successful candidate will act as a crucial liaison between the Trading Desk and various stakeholders, focusing on operational risk mitigation, governance, and driving strategic initiatives to improve efficiency and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end trade capture and lifecycle processing with a focus on timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with operational policies.
• Act as the main operational contact for Front Office and regional teams, handling escalations and facilitating effective collaboration across functions.
• Provide governance over offshore teams, maintaining consistent delivery and operational discipline aligned with business needs.
• Develop and uphold strong risk and control frameworks adhering to internal, regulatory, and audit standards; lead investigation and remediation of control deficiencies.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and corporate functions on risk management, new initiatives, and control enhancements to ensure proper risk identification and mitigation.
• Champion automation, digital transformation, and best practice adoption by leveraging technology and data to enhance productivity, controls, and decision-making.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Over 10 years’ experience in Middle Office roles focused on FX derivatives, with deep knowledge of FX structured products and comprehensive front-to-back trade processes including Risk and Profit & Loss management.
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder engagement abilities, adept at prioritizing multiple demands, providing constructive challenges, and escalating issues appropriately to support corporate goals.
• Strong analytical and operational risk management skills evidenced by managing complex transactions, resolving exceptions efficiently, and delivering results under pressure and strict deadlines.
