Role Overview
Join Goldman Sachs as a Vice President within the Entitlements Platform team, responsible for advancing the firm's security posture through innovative software engineering. This position requires designing and leading the development of highly scalable, secure software systems that manage application privileges and access controls across the enterprise. You will apply cutting-edge technologies including AI integration to enhance security operations and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, development, and testing of resilient enterprise-wide software platforms.
- Design and implement cloud-native, containerized solutions utilizing AWS or similar cloud providers, advancing cloud migration strategies.
- Establish and promote best practices in version control, continuous integration/deployment, and configuration management.
- Develop APIs including REST, event-driven architectures, GraphQL, and microservices at scale.
- Explore and integrate emerging AI technologies such as AI agents and the Model Context Protocol to build intelligent platform capabilities.
- Provide mentorship, conduct code and design reviews, and elevate team technical standards.
- Collaborate closely with diverse stakeholders to translate business needs and compliance mandates into technical strategies.
- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts across different organizational levels.
- Manage multiple priorities autonomously in a fast-paced environment, ensuring long-term platform stability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent fields.
- At least 10 years of experience in software or data engineering roles.
- Demonstrated success in crafting scalable, enterprise-grade software architectures.
- Proficient in designing solutions on AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Experience with AI technologies including AI agents and model-context protocols.
- Strong Java development skills focused on core and server-side programming.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, or cloud-native equivalents.
- Proven leadership in technical mentorship and delivery of complex projects from inception to completion.
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of identity and privilege management, including lifecycle relationships, authorization/authentication differences, and segregation of duties concepts.
- Familiarity with additional programming languages such as Golang, Python, or C#.
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, JPA).
- Knowledge of data warehouse technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
- Competency in modern frontend technologies and frameworks including HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or Angular.
- Experience translating UX/UI designs into component libraries and working with design systems.
- Expertise in cloud-native and containerized architecture, such as Kubernetes and serverless environments.
- Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML or LLM solutions in production-grade environments.
