The Restructuring and Liability Management Advisory team guides companies, shareholders, lenders, sovereign entities, and other parties through intricate capital structure issues, balance sheet optimization, distressed conditions, recapitalizations, and strategic alternatives.

Role Overview

We are expanding our Dubai-based Restructuring team and seeking an experienced Vice President to lead advisory services across the Middle East, North Africa, and the broader EMEA region. This role entails working closely with senior bankers and clients, spearheading transaction execution, and growing Jefferies' footprint in restructuring advisory.

Key Duties

• Lead execution of restructuring, refinancing, recapitalization, liability management, and distressed M&A engagements across the Middle East and EMEA.
• Oversee all facets of transaction execution including financial analysis, stakeholder engagement, due diligence, and project coordination.
• Develop, review, and refine complex financial models, liquidity evaluations, business plans, capital structure analyses, and valuation documentation.
• Create top-tier client presentations, strategic assessments, board materials, and transaction-related documentation.
• Collaborate with corporate clients, financial institutions, sovereign entities, private equity sponsors, and creditor groups.
• Assist Managing Directors in business development, market coverage, and origination efforts.
• Identify and assess new restructuring and special situations opportunities within the region.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Analysts and Associates to ensure quality deliverables and professional growth.
• Coordinate effectively with legal counsel, accounting professionals, lenders, investors, and other external parties during transactions.

Candidate Requirements

• 6 to over 10 years of relevant experience at an investment bank, restructuring advisory firm, financial advisory company, or a top-tier professional services organization.
• Robust transaction background in restructuring advisory, special situations, leveraged finance, debt advisory, or corporate finance.
• Outstanding skills in financial modeling, valuation, and analytical evaluation.
• Deep understanding of debt instruments, capital structures, credit markets, and restructuring strategies.
• Demonstrated capability managing multiple projects and delivering results efficiently under pressure.
• Experience engaging with senior management, boards, lenders, and investors.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven leadership aptitude, including managing and growing junior teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field.
