Role Overview

The Veterinary Pathologist will be based full-time at the New Delhi laboratory, offering expert diagnostic assistance across various animal species. This role involves conducting both gross and microscopic tissue examinations, interpreting histopathology and cytology outcomes, and delivering clear, timely diagnostic reports to veterinarians and partners. Daily tasks include correlating clinical information with lab data, collaborating with haematology, microbiology, and molecular diagnostics teams, and actively engaging in quality control and assurance activities to uphold NABL and ISO/IEC standards. The position also entails consulting veterinary practitioners, contributing to case discussions, assisting in advancing diagnostic protocols, and mentoring team members on pathology best practices. By ensuring precise diagnosis, the Veterinary Pathologist plays a vital role in guiding effective treatment plans and improving animal health results.

Qualifications and Expertise

• Comprehensive knowledge in veterinary pathology, including clinical pathology, histopathology, and cytology, with strong diagnostic interpretation capabilities.
• Extensive understanding of laboratory disciplines such as haematology, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, parasitology, endocrinology, and molecular diagnosis.
• Proven skills in drafting clear, concise, and clinically relevant pathology reports and communicating intricate findings effectively to veterinary professionals.
• Experience within accredited diagnostic laboratories familiar with NABL or ISO/IEC 17025 standards, quality controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Strong dedication to animal welfare, meticulous attention to detail, and aptitude for solving problems in fast-paced, high-volume diagnostic contexts.
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, juggle multiple cases concurrently, and uphold professional ethics and confidentiality.
• Master’s degree in Veterinary Pathology with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in the field.
