Veterinary Laboratory Scientist

About the Role

IDEXX is seeking a skilled full-time Veterinary Laboratory Scientist to join our histology team, working closely with Pathologists. You will be part of the largest veterinary laboratory in the Southern Hemisphere, located in our newly designed facility at Eight Mile Plains. The Laboratory Scientists play a crucial role in delivering prompt, accurate, and efficient diagnostic pathology services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform specimen cut in, embedding, microtomy, staining, and other essential laboratory processes.
• Collaborate within a team to maintain high diagnostic standards and meet turnaround time expectations in a commercial lab environment.

Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor of Medical Science degree or an equivalent qualification.
• Hands-on experience in a medical laboratory setting, with histopathology lab experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency in IT skills, particularly with digital imaging and data entry.
• Ability to adhere strictly to IDEXX's laboratory policies, quality systems, and health & safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, and a customer service-oriented mindset.
