Role Overview

The Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical attention to small animals. Duties consist of conducting thorough physical exams, diagnosing ailments, administering both routine and advanced treatments, and advising on preventive healthcare. Core tasks include vaccination administration, medication prescription, minor surgical operations, diagnostic test interpretation, and meticulous medical documentation. Effective communication with pet guardians regarding treatment strategies, post-care instructions, and overall wellness is essential. The position is full-time and requires onsite presence at Mani Majra, Chandigarh, with close collaboration among veterinary assistants and support personnel to uphold exemplary patient care and clinic efficiency.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Possession of a recognized veterinary degree (such as BVSc) and a valid license or authorization to practice in the region.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and preventive care specifically for small animal patients.
• Ability to execute common veterinary procedures including vaccinations, wound treatment, minor surgeries, and initial emergency care.
• Competence in employing diagnostic equipment and accurately understanding laboratory analyses, imaging, and other diagnostic tests.
• Strong, compassionate communication abilities to explain medical conditions, treatment plans, and at-home care guidelines to pet owners.
• Skill in managing high patient volumes, multitasking clinical duties, and collaborating effectively with support staff.
• Dedication to animal welfare, ethical conduct, and compliance with relevant veterinary laws and professional standards.
• Experience with maintaining accurate medical records, whether electronic or paper-based, and adherence to clinic protocols.
• Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development and staying abreast of best practices within veterinary medicine.
• Prior clinical experience is advantageous; however, motivated recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
