Role Overview
Embark on a rewarding career managing one of the globe's most extensive dairy farming operations, based in Saudi Arabia. You will oversee the health and welfare of approximately 180,000 cattle across six farms, ensuring optimal productivity through proactive veterinary care and comprehensive herd health management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct routine herd inspections and supervise preventive health programs to sustain herd well-being.
- Accurately diagnose and provide treatment for illnesses, injuries, and other health issues.
- Administer vaccination schedules, enforce biosecurity measures, and manage disease control initiatives.
- Manage reproductive health tasks including calving supervision and fertility assessments.
- Collaborate with farm leadership and nutritionists to enhance animal health, welfare, and milk yields.
- Document veterinary activities diligently, ensuring all procedures align with welfare and regulatory requirements.
- Educate farm personnel on animal health protocols, care techniques, and disease prevention strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine (DVM or an equivalent qualification).
- Hold at least 2 to 3 years of experience in farm animal veterinary practice, particularly with dairy cattle.
- Demonstrate comprehensive expertise in herd health management, preventive medicine, and disease control methodologies.
