Role Overview

The Veterinarian will deliver expert veterinary services to poultry flocks, aiming to maintain excellent health, productivity, and welfare throughout various farm locations and production units. Responsibilities encompass routine health assessments, diagnosing and managing diseases, overseeing vaccination and preventive medicine initiatives, and monitoring flock performance metrics. The role requires collaboration with farm management and production personnel to enhance biosecurity protocols and provide educational training on animal health and hygiene practices. Accurate maintenance of medical records and reports is essential. The position is full-time with a hybrid work setting, based in Riyadh, involving frequent on-site farm visits complemented by remote tasks such as documentation and consultation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Veterinary degree (DVM or equivalent) with valid or eligible licensure in Saudi Arabia, along with specialization or relevant experience in poultry or avian medicine.
• Expertise in clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, and preventive care for poultry, including administering vaccination programs and disease monitoring.
• In-depth understanding of biosecurity measures, hygiene protocols, and infection control in large-scale poultry operations.
• Experience collecting and analyzing data on flock performance, mortality rates, and disease prevalence to inform health strategy enhancements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to engage effectively with farm managers, production teams, and technical staff, including training delivery.
• Proficiency in preparing thorough medical documentation and reports in English; Arabic language skills are beneficial.
• Awareness of national and international standards concerning animal welfare, food safety, and veterinary public health policies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and sound judgment in dynamic, field-based conditions.
• Willingness to travel regularly across farms and production facilities in Riyadh, following all safety and biosecurity standards.
• Previous experience in commercial poultry production or extensive livestock operations is highly preferred.
