Vehicle Technician

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Vehicle Technician to join a well-established independent car service center in Stockport. This is an excellent chance for a technician eager to establish a long-term career at a rapidly growing company.

Working Hours & Salary

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Saturday mornings on a rotational basis from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• Salary up to 42,000 basic with additional overtime compensated at 1.25 times the base rate, based on experience and qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing and maintenance on a wide range of vehicle makes and models
• Diagnose and repair faults encompassing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, including warranty work adhering to brand guidelines
• Conduct MOT tests if the candidate holds the necessary qualification

Qualifications & Experience

• Possession of a full UK driving license
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds, or Mechanical Engineering Level 3 or equivalent are required; Level 2 with main dealership experience may be considered
• MOT license is advantageous but not mandatory
