About the Role
Join Babcock International Group as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer based in Bovington near Wareham, Dorset. In this full-time permanent role, you will contribute to restoring military vehicles, playing a crucial role in preserving assets that ensure national security.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle and equipment surfaces by applying masking, washing, blasting, filling, and sanding techniques.
- Clean surfaces with degreasers and suitable agents to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Perform spray painting to apply coatings meeting quality and finish standards.
- Conduct patch painting and rolling as necessary to complete refurbishments.
- Maintain excellent workmanship, safety standards, and quality throughout the refurbishment process.
Work Environment
The position involves physical tasks such as lifting, bending, tool handling, and extended periods of standing. You will work 37 hours per week onsite with options for either a four-day or five-day workweek schedule.
Qualifications and Experience
- Practical experience in spray painting, industrial painting, surface preparation, or coating application.
- Possession of a valid full UK driving licence.
No formal paint spraying certification is necessary; training and certification will be provided. Candidates from diverse educational backgrounds are encouraged to apply if they demonstrate relevant experience or a strong willingness to learn.
Security Clearance
The role requires obtaining and maintaining Security Check (SC) clearance, subject to national security vetting criteria including nationality, citizenship, and residency considerations.
