Overview

If so, this Van Pack Operative position with Severn Trent’s Waste Customer Networks team in Staffordshire is an excellent fit for you. This role involves hands-on work maintaining, improving, and repairing the waste network from the Strongford base.
Key Responsibilities
- Address a range of issues such as blocked sewers using advanced vacuum, jetting, and blockage clearing equipment while engaging directly with community members to provide outstanding service.
- Conduct CCTV inspections of drainage systems to assess conditions, diagnose problems, and determine the best solutions.
- Coordinate with departments including the control centre, operations, and maintenance teams.
- Operate safely within confined spaces and at heights as needed.
- Ensure your vehicle complies with road transport laws, Severn Trent policies, and maintain it in clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a C1 or higher driving license is essential.
- A strong focus on quality and meticulous attention to detail to diagnose root causes and deliver effective repairs.
- Self-driven with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating a solid work ethic.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships with customers.
- Good organizational skills paired with a keen interest in problem solving.
