Role Overview
The UX Researcher serves as the primary advocate for users within the Product and Design teams. They conduct both foundational research guiding product strategy and validation research ensuring design effectiveness. This role involves close collaboration with outbound sales teams, AI implementation experts, and deployed engineers, offering a direct connection to real enterprise challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and conduct formative research, including discovery interviews, field studies, and jobs-to-be-done analyses, to steer product roadmaps and strategies.
- Execute validation research such as usability tests, concept assessments, and beta feedback cycles to ensure design integrity before and after launch.
- Collaborate with outbound and client-facing teams to recruit participants and maintain continued customer engagement.
- Extract actionable insights from AI implementation and Forward Deployed Engineers, translating frontline deployment challenges into UX refinements.
- Consolidate research findings into clear, prioritized recommendations actionable by Product and Design teams.
- Develop scalable, lightweight research methodologies, including building self-service tools and insight repositories to support team growth.
- Advocate for rigorous yet agile research methods that balance thoroughness with startup pace, avoiding unnecessary procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Between four to seven years of experience in UX research, preferably focused on B2B/enterprise SaaS or technically intricate products.
- Proficient in both qualitative and quantitative research techniques, with sound discernment in selecting appropriate methods.
- Experience engaging with enterprise-level users and purchasing stakeholders rather than only consumers.
- Capable of independently scoping, managing, and completing research projects end to end.
- Exceptional skills in synthesizing data and storytelling, delivering insights that decisively influence product decisions.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complex technical subjects; keen interest in AI and enterprise adoption dynamics.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration abilities involving Product, Design, Engineering, and go-to-market teams.
