UV Printing Machine Service Engineer

Role Overview

We seek a proficient UV Printing Machine Engineer capable of independently managing installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of GETHRAY UV Printing Machines. The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive technical expertise in machine electronics, including PCBs, electrical elements, and printing system mechanics.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, commissioning, and setup of GETHRAY UV Printing Machines at client premises.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve machine errors, technical faults, and breakdowns efficiently.
• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on UV printing equipment.
• Address electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software-related malfunctions.
• Possess thorough knowledge of machine boards, control cards, sensors, motors, drivers, SMPS, relays, and wiring configurations.
• Troubleshoot and replace defective electronic boards and machine parts as necessary.
• Manage issues pertaining to print heads, ink delivery, UV and LED UV lamp systems, pumps, motors, and carriage assemblies.
• Configure machine software, drivers, RIP settings, and facilitate communication between PC and machine hardware.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and electrical/electronic schematics for accurate repairs and installation.
• Conduct testing and calibration of machines post-installation or repairs.
• Deliver technical assistance and training to customers and machine operators.
• Document service reports detailing errors, repairs, and components replaced.
• Collaborate with the technical team regarding difficult machine faults and spare parts procurement.
• Be prepared to travel to client locations for installation and maintenance duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with UV Printing Machines.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong understanding of PCBs, electronic components, and electrical and mechanical system fundamentals.
• Familiarity with sensors, motors, drivers, SMPS units, relays, wiring, and controller mechanisms.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and electronic wiring schematics.
• Knowledge of UV printing software and basic computer networking.
• Ability to independently isolate machine faults and apply effective solutions.
• Good interpersonal skills for customer interaction and support.
• Availability and willingness to travel frequently for field assignments.

Educational Background

Diploma, B.Tech, or B.E. in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering disciplines. Candidates with extensive practical experience in servicing UV printing machines may also be eligible.

Preferred Experience

Practical experience in setting up and troubleshooting GETHRAY brand or equivalent UV flatbed and roll-to-roll printing machines is highly desirable.
