About the Role
The Utility associate plays a crucial role in supporting retail and kiosk operations by replenishing stock, transporting goods from shared kitchens to restaurants, and providing friendly, prompt assistance to fellow team members. Responsibilities
- Serve customers and team members courteously and efficiently with a positive demeanor.
- Adhere to company grooming and uniform standards, including wearing slip-resistant footwear.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization in assigned work areas using proper cleaning chemicals per OSHA rules.
- Inspect equipment to confirm cleanliness and proper operation, reporting any issues to management promptly.
- Coordinate with kiosks and shared kitchens to ensure grab-and-go products are sufficiently stocked.
- Transport items efficiently from kitchens and stock areas to restaurants, kiosks, and retail stores.
- Keep stock rooms organized with proper product rotation.
- Conduct light maintenance tasks and clear waste to designated disposal areas.
- Assist colleagues with stocking as needed.
- Follow all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, especially relating to food safety.
- Help receive shipments and immediately store inventory correctly.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Previous experience in high-volume or fast-casual dining settings is preferred.
- Certification in ServSafe or a similar program is advantageous.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation practices and chemical handling is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and follow instructions effectively.
- Capacity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and work independently when necessary.
Additional Position Requirements
- Flexible availability for shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays in a year-round operation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
- Self-motivated and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform repetitive motions, such as standing for extended periods, bending, climbing ladders, and walking long distances.
- Comfortable working in various temperature conditions.
- Must be willing to obtain a Canadian Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment.
