Job Summary

The Utility Worker will support the Operations Management team by preparing vehicles for service, including refueling, topping off fluids, inspecting interiors, and conducting light maintenance. This role is vital to ensure that vehicles are ready and safe for operation throughout various shifts.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Department and technicians by performing vehicle washing, cleaning of vehicles and facilities, vehicle fueling, seat repairs, fluid inspections, and upkeep of the facility as per scheduled tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety within the work environment and promptly report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
• Log time spent and materials used for each assigned task.
• Provide support in automotive repair and maintenance tasks as delegated by technical staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Physical Abilities

• Strong multitasking ability with meticulous attention to detail.
• Self-driven with skills in prioritizing tasks and solving problems efficiently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with intermediate to advanced Excel capabilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively within the team and with customers.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
• Physical capability to lift over 25 pounds, climb stairs, and remain on feet for extended durations.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in janitorial work or auto detailing is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is mandatory.
• Possession of an Illinois Class C Driver's License is required.
