Job description
Role Overview
The Utility Worker is tasked with ensuring cleanliness and sanitation within a restaurant environment to support an excellent guest experience.
Primary Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all workstations, surfaces, equipment, and dining areas to uphold hygiene standards.
- Clear waste and reset tables promptly between customer seatings.
- Wash dishes, cookware, and utensils manually or with dishwashing machines.
- Operate cleaning machinery utilizing specific chemicals to comply with sanitation protocols.
- Assist guests by responding to their requests and communicating any special requirements to the restaurant staff.
- Handle unloading and loading of supplies, oversee food inventory management including rotation and temperature monitoring.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Hold a minimum of six months experience in retail or food service roles.
- Possess strong spoken and written English communication skills.
- Having a high school diploma is advantageous.
- Capable of standing and performing duties in confined areas for prolonged durations.
- Must have a valid food handler permit and required certifications.
