About the Role
Fox Pest Control is seeking a motivated Utility Technician to serve customers at their residences using advanced pest control products and methods. The role involves diverse assignments such as insulating homes, treating for mosquitoes, bed bugs, termites, and other pests. Each day brings different challenges requiring versatility, expertise, and readiness to work in varied pest control environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional pest control and insulation services to clients' homes
- Inspect premises to identify pest issues and determine appropriate treatment methods
- Recognize and identify types of invading pests
- Apply chemical treatments including liquids, powders, and granules to targeted surfaces
- Install, repair, and maintain insulation systems to improve energy efficiency and pest deterrence
- Follow safety protocols for chemical applications ensuring proper re-entry intervals
- Utilize proper protective equipment while performing applications
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and professional condition of service vehicles in compliance with regulations
- Maintain a professional appearance with clean uniform, suitable footwear, and good personal hygiene
- Foster strong positive client relationships and provide excellent customer service
- Strive to exceed customer expectations through quality workmanship and communication
- Advise clients on preventative measures against future pest problems when relevant
- Engage fully in training sessions aimed at skill development and licensing requirements
Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in construction or insulation work
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers
- Aptitude to analyze pest control needs and implement effective treatment plans
- Willingness and capability to learn and apply servicing protocols for chemical treatments
- Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Possession of a valid driver's license and authorization to work in the United States
