Job description
Position Overview and Responsibilities
The Utility Representative is primarily responsible for servicing and maintaining beverage draught lines for On-Premise accounts associated with Ben E. Keith products. This includes thorough cleaning of beverage lines, addressing pouring and draught system issues, and documenting service calls via the VIP KARMA App for all assigned accounts.
- Develop and nurture strong, professional relationships with customers, ensuring clear communication.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of customers' draught lines to maintain product quality and standards.
- Adhere strictly to the company's cleaning protocols and safety standards, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Apply the approved caustic line cleaning solutions, ensuring correct soaking times followed by thorough flushing with cool water.
- Possess fundamental knowledge of draught beer systems, including installation and troubleshooting capabilities as needed.
- Report any sales opportunities or operational challenges observed during service visits to the sales team.
- Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor while interacting with customers and team members.
- Manage multiple priorities efficiently and participate actively in required meetings.
- Ensure all company vehicles and equipment are kept clean, safe, and operational; immediately report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the supervisor.
- Assist with events within the assigned territory and remain knowledgeable about Ben E. Keith’s product offerings for potential sales suggestions.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum education of high school diploma or GED is required.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Highly motivated with a keen focus on achieving results and attention to detail.
- Capable of handling trade-related mathematics and reading draught and packaging code dates.
- Proficient in reading and writing English.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely perform essential job functions, meeting applicable federal, state, and local regulations including ADA and FMLA standards.
- Consistent punctuality and regular attendance are essential.
- Physical capability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs., and perform activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, and hearing.
