About UtiliQuest and the Role
UtiliQuest, LLC is dedicated to supporting utility operators nationwide by preventing damage to underground infrastructure. As a Utility Locator at UtiliQuest, you will receive training in safety protocols and the techniques used to detect underground utility lines. Working alongside experienced locators, you will operate specialized equipment and document findings accurately to facilitate safe and efficient construction projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Acquire skills in utility locating methods and safety procedures.
- Gain knowledge of local utility infrastructure and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with seasoned locators to mark underground utilities accurately.
- Operate locating devices and equipment effectively.
- Record findings using digital mapping technologies.
- Perform duties across diverse weather conditions.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorized to work in the United States for this employer.
- Possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Hold a valid non-provisional state driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Regular tasks include working independently in remote areas, performing activities requiring lifting up to 55 pounds, operating vehicles, and using hands for fine motor skills such as keyboarding.
- Sometimes required to use portable ladders, maneuver confined spaces, and ascend stairs.
