Overview
Join UtiliQuest, LLC as a Trainee Utility Locator and embark on a career focused on safety and precision in identifying underground utility lines. Learn essential safety guidelines, utilize specialized equipment, and collaborate with experienced locators to support safe and efficient construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire knowledge of utility locating methods, safety standards, and equipment use.
- Gain familiarity with local utility systems and applicable regulations.
- Work alongside seasoned Locators to accurately mark underground utilities.
- Operate and manage utility locating devices and digital mapping tools.
- Record and document findings systematically.
- Perform duties through varying weather conditions.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States for this employer.
- Possession of a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent related experience.
- Valid non-provisional State driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record.
Physical Demands
- Regularly work independently in remote locations, maintain overhead arm positioning, drive, manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills, bend, stoop, stand, walk, lift up to 55 pounds, and use computer peripherals.
- Occasionally use ladders, work in tight spaces, and climb stairs.
