Utility Locator

About the Role

Embark on a career focused on connecting communities and ensuring safe construction with UtiliQuest, LLC. As a Trainee Utility Locator, you will gain hands-on training in locating underground utility lines, acquire knowledge of local infrastructure and regulations, and assist experienced locators to support construction safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply utility locating methods, safety standards, and equipment operation.
• Develop an understanding of the regional utility infrastructure and relevant legal requirements.
• Collaborate with seasoned Locators to mark the positions of underground utilities.
• Use specialized equipment to detect and document utility lines.
• Record findings accurately using digital mapping software.
• Perform locating tasks in diverse weather conditions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States for this employer.
• Have a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Possess a valid state driver’s license (non-provisional) with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Frequently work independently in isolated areas, using arms above shoulder height, driving vehicles, dexterous hand movements, bending, standing, walking, lifting up to 55 pounds, and operating computer input devices.
• Occasionally use ladders, work in confined spaces, and climb stairs.

• Competitive hourly wage between $20.00 and $23.00.
