About UtiliQuest and the Role
Join UtiliQuest, LLC, as a Utility Locator, where you will be trained in safety procedures and techniques for detecting underground utility lines. Working alongside seasoned locators, you'll employ specialized tools and document your observations to facilitate safe and efficient construction activities. UtiliQuest partners with utility operators across the U.S. to prevent damage to critical infrastructure by reliably handling millions of locate requests yearly. Our use of advanced technology combined with skilled teams ensures accurate and timely service delivery while upholding the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and corporate responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Master utility locating methods, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Gain knowledge of local utility infrastructures and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with experienced locators to accurately mark underground utilities.
- Operate utility locating devices and use digital mapping software to record findings.
- Perform assigned tasks in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Authorized to work in the United States for UtiliQuest.
- High School diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant professional experience.
- Possess a valid State driver's license (non-provisional) with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly work independently in remote areas, perform tasks involving arm movement above shoulder level, vehicle operation, fine motor skills, bending, stooping, standing, walking, lifting up to 55 pounds, and computer interaction.
- Occasionally use a portable ladder, work in confined spaces, and climb stairs.

- Competitive wage between $20.00 and $23.00 per hour.
