About the Role
USIC is seeking dedicated Utility Locators to join our team in Green Bay, WI. This role offers a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working outdoors independently and are committed to safety and quality. Our company is America’s leading provider in underground utility damage prevention, serving telecommunications, electric, gas, water, and sewer utilities nationwide by performing over 84 million locates annually. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately identify the location of underground utilities such as telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
- Conduct thorough searches of designated areas and clearly mark utility locations using appropriate documentation and photographic records.
Work Conditions and Schedule
This is a full-time daytime position requiring availability for overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call duties, including nights and holidays, based on business needs. A typical turnaround for locates is 48 hours, which may necessitate working the day after holidays and occasional weekends.

Requirements
- Capability and willingness to perform outdoor work under various weather conditions; prior outdoor experience advantageous.
- Comfort and proficiency with technology used in the field.
- Availability to work overtime, weekends, and be on-call as needed.
- Pass a drug screening, as this position is safety-sensitive.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces, including walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Color vision sufficient to distinguish markings for wiring and underground utilities.
- Skills to read and interpret locate tickets, maps, and technical prints.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with coworkers, clients, contractors, and property owners.
