Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Utility-App Developer to join our Bengaluru office on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive Billing Transformation platform. This platform enables business users to manage pricing configurations, usage calculation parameters, rate cards, pricing bands, billing rules, and acts as the central system of record for billing and usage management. Integration with Snowflake-based analytical and billing data platforms is a key aspect of this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Create scalable and efficient web applications for billing configuration management.
• Design user-friendly interfaces implementing React.js.
• Develop secure, high-performance REST APIs using Node.js.
• Implement business workflows encompassing usage calculation settings, pricing and rate card management, pricing bands, discounts and promotions, billing parameters, and versioning with approvals.
• Integrate application components with enterprise and downstream billing systems.
• Develop APIs to facilitate data exchange and orchestration.
• Apply authentication and role-based access controls to ensure secure access.
• Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines following DevOps methodologies.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce development standards.
• Create automated testing suites and regression tests.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance standards.
• Maintain detailed and updated technical documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 6 to 10 years of industry experience in software development.
• Proficient in front-end technologies: React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Redux or Context API, Material UI or related UI frameworks.
• Strong back-end development skills using Node.js, Express.js, REST API development, and API authentication mechanisms like OAuth and JWT.
• Practical experience with Snowflake database, including SQL optimization, data modeling, stored procedures, and preferably Snowpark.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes including Git/GitHub, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker (preferred).
• Comfort with Agile development methodologies.

Desired Functional Experience

• Expertise in usage-based billing systems.
• Knowledge of pricing strategy and rate management.
• Experience supporting revenue recognition systems.
• Familiarity with billing operations and financial systems integration.
• Understanding of subscription lifecycle management.
