Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a manager to lead our Private Client Services team overseeing day-to-day compliance for clients and managing the team. The candidate should be located in Mumbai or willing to relocate there.
Key Responsibilities
- Review a spectrum of US tax compliance filings, from straightforward to complex, including US Federal & State individual tax returns (Form 1040) for high-net-worth clients, as well as trust and estate tax returns such as Forms 1041, 706, and 709.
- Possess good knowledge of various foreign tax forms including 8621, 926, 8865, 8886, 8938, among others.
- Manage clients with complicated tax scenarios involving multiple state returns, diverse filing statuses, and ownership interests in partnerships and S corporations.
- Stay current with tax legislation and integrate updated regulations into client work and communication.
- Foster collaborative relationships across industry service groups to deliver integrated client service excellence.
- Adhere to firm policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Lead engagements by managing team structures, efficiently leveraging resources, and developing the team through training to enhance client experience.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Master's degree in finance or accounting.
- Mandatory Enrolled Agent certification.
- Eight to ten years of hands-on experience in US tax compliance for individuals, estates, and trusts.
- Strong communication skills for managing client relationships and fostering positive teamwork with colleagues in both the US and India.
- Proven experience in team management, including coaching and mentoring.
- Proficiency in tax software and technology such as CCH Axcess, SurePrep Binders, and Microsoft Office applications.
