TV Producer

Job Purpose

The TV Producer is responsible for producing, directing, and writing educational, instructional, entertainment, or public interest programs for broadcast. This role includes coordinating the activities of production staff and managing deadlines typical of the broadcasting industry.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the duties of assigned production staff.
• Produce, write, and direct instructional videos, promotional campaigns, or public event programs, including managing editorial content, graphics, and conceptual design.
• Conduct research required to develop storylines or concepts for productions.
• Analyze the effectiveness of promotional campaigns by collecting relevant statistics and performing promotional assessments.
• Maintain detailed logs of production activities and prepare relevant reports.
• Edit and assemble stories or promotional segments to ensure visual and narrative coherence.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Communications, or a closely related field, plus at least two years of experience in writing, producing, and directing studio and location-based programs.
• Alternatively, candidates may have six years of relevant experience in producing, directing, and writing programs both in-studio and on location.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered by Human Resources.

Knowledge and Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of broadcast regulations and guidelines.
• Proficiency in broadcast production techniques and related equipment for production and editing.
• Strong communication skills to convey information effectively within the team and externally.
