Job Overview
As a Trimmer at our Tiverton, Ontario facility, you will report directly to the Post-Harvest Manager, focusing on hand or machine trimming of medical-grade cannabis. The role requires excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail to ensure product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hand and machine trimming of cannabis to prepare for further processing stages.
- Conduct quality control evaluations of the final trimmed products.
- Use MJ Freeway software to manage product transactions.
- Transfer plants appropriately within the facility.
- Create product batches and manage waste packaging.
- Maintain accurate weight records for pay performance.
- Label individual pots and manage items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Operate and maintain equipment following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Complete data entry tasks utilizing platforms like Google Docs and email.
- Keep the workstation and washbay clean and orderly, cleaning equipment promptly to maintain workflow.
- Support cleaning of grow and dry rooms as directed by SOPs.
- Handle metal detection procedures, including cleaning and documenting equipment/product logs.
- Prioritize running product through machines as instructed by management.
- Inspect other departments when needed.
- Adapt to variable shifts as required, typically Monday to Thursday, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated fine motor skills with tools such as scissors, snips, and shears.
- Ability to maintain organization and consistently follow SOPs to ensure product uniformity.
- Flexibility to perform a range of tasks in a potentially loud and confined work environment.
- Experience working independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Comfortable with computer use and accurate data entry.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience with MMAR considered advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary: $38,500.
