HGT Logistics is seeking a proactive and results-driven Transport Supervisor to oversee daily transport operations, vehicle assignments, and fleet coordination within Pune and across India.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Arrange for pickups and allocate open trucks, container trucks, and flatbed trailers aligned with customer requirements.
• Establish and sustain a network of transporters and vehicle owners to support operations.
• Negotiate freight rates to ensure competitiveness while safeguarding profitability.
• Coordinate vehicle allocation, loading schedules, dispatching, and delivery monitoring activities.
• Liaise with customers, logistics managers, and dispatch teams to maintain smooth operations.
• Track vehicle movements and guarantee timely reporting and delivery compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle placements, freight details, trip sheets, and payments to transporters.
• Address operational issues such as delays or vehicle breakdowns promptly.
• Identify potential new transporters to aid network expansion efforts.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Graduate or equivalent educational background preferred.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in transport operations, truck placement, or logistics.
• Familiarity with Pune’s transport market and Indian commercial vehicles.
• Strong skills in negotiation and effective communication.
• Proficiency with Excel, WhatsApp, and transport-related documentation.
• Ability to manage work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
• Prior experience handling open trucks and commercial vehicles is a plus.
