Transcriptionist

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Transcriptionist to transform audio and video recordings into precise and well-structured written documents. This position requires acute auditory attention, swift typing abilities, and strong discipline to deliver transcripts that meet deadlines with high quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert audio and video content into accurate written transcripts.
• Review and correct AI-generated transcripts focusing on accuracy, formatting, and identifying speakers.
• Ensure transcripts align with client-specific style guides and formatting templates.
• Identify and flag unclear audio segments, technical vocabulary, and proper nouns for further examination.
• Achieve daily output targets while preserving stringent accuracy standards.
• Uphold strict confidentiality of all transcription materials.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in transcription, captioning, or similar roles.
• Typing proficiency of 70 words per minute or more with high accuracy.
• Outstanding command of written English, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Familiarity with transcription software such as Express Scribe, Otter, Rev, or oTranscribe.
• Ability to maintain concentration during extended audio sessions.
• Comfortable managing confidential or sensitive information.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary is competitive and dependent on experience, qualifications, and location, with an indicative range of $35,000 to $60,000 (USD equivalent) plus additional benefits.
