Transcriptionist

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Transcriptionist to convert audio and video recordings into precise, well-formatted text documents. This position requires a keen ear, rapid typing skills, and the discipline to consistently produce high-quality transcripts within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe audio and video files accurately into written text
• Review and edit AI-generated transcripts for correctness, formatting, and identifying speakers
• Apply client-specific style guides and templates to format transcripts appropriately
• Highlight unclear audio segments, specialized terminology, and proper names for further verification
• Achieve daily output targets while maintaining high accuracy standards
• Ensure all transcription content is handled with strict confidentiality

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of one year experience in transcription, captioning, or similar roles
• Typing speed of at least 70 words per minute with exceptional accuracy
• Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Familiarity with transcription software such as Express Scribe, Otter, Rev, and oTranscribe
• Capacity to maintain concentration during lengthy audio sessions
• Comfortable managing sensitive and confidential materials
