About the Role
Join our Specsavers store located in Citywest Shopping Centre as a Trainee Optical Assistant. We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about retail and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service. This entry-level position does not require prior experience, just a readiness to create a welcoming environment for both customers and colleagues, ensuring each patient receives excellent care.
Key Responsibilities
As a Trainee Optical Assistant, you will be the friendly face greeting customers, assisting them confidently, and contributing to the smooth running of the store while supporting optical professionals such as Opticians and Technicians.
Qualifications and Skills
Ideal candidates will possess a genuine passion for customer care, strong teamwork capabilities, good initiative, proficiency in IT systems, excellent communication and listening skills, and the willingness to embrace new challenges. Openness to feedback and a willingness to develop professionally with guided support are crucial to success.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, previous roles in fast-paced customer service environments, familiarity with optics or audiology sectors, or understanding of basic optical/audiology terminology would be advantageous.
