Traffic Management Operative

About the Role

We are seeking skilled Traffic Management Operatives to join our expanding team across Aberdeenshire. This role offers a chance for experienced professionals to participate in diverse projects and contribute to a growing firm's success.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe setup, upkeep, and removal of temporary traffic control systems following all safety procedures and industry standards.
• Control traffic flow within assigned locations to facilitate the safe and effective movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
• Install, maintain, and dismantle signage, barriers, and cones to guide traffic based on operational needs.
• Perform regular checks on traffic control devices and promptly report any repair or maintenance needs.
• Provide clear communication to drivers, coworkers, and visitors to enforce compliance with safety measures.
• Assist with managing site entry points by verifying authorization for personnel and vehicles.
• Support management efforts in applying safety protocols during peak periods or special events to mitigate risks.
• Maintain comprehensive records of traffic management activities, including any incidents or anomalies.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• Possession of a valid M1 or M2 Traffic Management qualification.
• Current full UK manual driving licence.
• Capability to work safely within a team environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional in approach.
• Willingness and ability to travel to various sites throughout Aberdeenshire.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Holding an M5 qualification is advantageous.
• Experience in traffic management, telecommunications, civil engineering, or utilities is desirable.
• Additional tickets and qualifications related to traffic management are a plus.
