This is a rapidly expanding quantitative cryptocurrency trading firm founded by an ex-Jane Street founder, comprising a team with origins at Jane Street, HRT, SIG, Optiver, and Five Rings. Despite having a pedigree usually seen at large institutions, the company remains compact enough to ensure every individual has substantial impact.
Trajectory and Growth
The firm has grown from managing assets in the seven-figure range just three years ago to nine-figure assets under management today. Currently staffed by nine employees, the company demonstrates a trajectory of rapid expansion with significant room for further growth.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage your own independent trading pod, taking full ownership of your book with profit-sharing and complete autonomy over decisions.
- Develop and apply mid-frequency statistical arbitrage strategies with signal time horizons ranging from several hours up to a few weeks.
- Collaborate within a highly skilled, tightly-knit team that emphasizes sharing knowledge and strategies instead of operating in silos.
- Operate in a firm that supports conviction by providing substantial financial backing, including seven-figure guarantees to secure top talent.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Proven experience creating or managing systematic trading strategies.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in cryptocurrency trading or closely related mid-frequency statistical arbitrage in emerging markets, foreign exchange, or commodities.
- Background in pure ultra-low-latency high-frequency trading is not suitable, as this role focuses on mid-frequency trading.
- Genuine belief in cryptocurrency as an asset class is essential; skepticism towards crypto is not compatible with this role.
