Introduction
Located in the heart of Sydney CBD, Bar Conte – Clarence Street is a vibrant Italian restaurant and Negroni bar featuring a menu of contemporary Italian cuisine paired with a wide range of cocktails and wines. This establishment is currently recruiting a committed and professional Trade Waiter to join their team full time on-site.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver polished and professional table service, including taking accurate food and beverage orders.
- Offer guests detailed information regarding menu selections, dishes, and beverage options including wines and cocktails.
- Serve food and drinks while adhering to excellent service standards.
- Prepare tables prior to service and ensure they are cleared throughout the dining period.
- Keep the dining environment clean and well-presented at all times.
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of orders.
- Manage payment processing accurately via the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Observe guest satisfaction levels and respond professionally to inquiries and service-related issues.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, hygiene standards, Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) legislation, and workplace health and safety protocols.
Candidate Profile
- Possess at least one year of experience in a similar role involving professional food and beverage service.
- Have a strong understanding of proper food and beverage service procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Provide attentive and refined table service with a focus on guest experience.
- Show strong organisational abilities and close attention to detail.
- Work effectively during peak restaurant hours.
- Collaborate well with colleagues in kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams.
- Maintain a neat appearance and exhibit reliability with a commitment to high quality customer service.
- Hold valid NSW RSA certification or equivalent required for alcohol service.
