Role Overview

We are seeking a dependable and confident Trade Sales / Driver to join our New Plymouth branch team. This active role involves driving, delivering products, and assisting customers, ideal for those with a trade background wanting to stay connected to the plumbing industry without working directly on tools. This full-time, permanent position offers opportunities for career growth and skill development within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Transporting and delivering plumbing products to various job sites while fostering positive customer relationships.
• Serving customers at the trade counter and ensuring they receive the necessary materials to begin their workday promptly.
• Providing support in other branch operations as required.

Candidate Profile

• Customer service oriented both on-site and in-store.
• Physically capable of handling some heavy lifting (up to 20kgs).
• Positive, eager to learn, and adaptable to assist where needed.
• Reliable and flexible team player ready to engage with customers and contribute hands-on.
• Trade industry knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to manage unforeseen situations with adaptability and foresight.
• Experience in retail sales and delivering excellent customer service.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Full, clean New Zealand driver’s license is mandatory.
• Forklift license is desirable but not required.
• Presentable personal appearance and excellent interpersonal communication.

Working Conditions and Hours

This is a full-time role with a 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, including rostered Saturdays. Specific start and finish times will be arranged during the interview process.
