Job Description
We are seeking a Trade Operations Analyst based in Dublin for a permanent full-time position with standard working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM GMT. The role centers on managing daily activities associated with trade confirmation and settlement, reporting, and timely responses to inquiries related to equity, fixed income, and foreign exchange trading desks.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee transaction confirmations, fails resolution, escrow activities, and settlement processes.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges by engaging relevant stakeholders.
- Handle market-specific procedures to support confirmation and settlement in complex international markets.
- Engage and maintain communication with internal trading desks, brokers, custodians, and various business partners.
- Participate as a subject matter expert in projects and collaborate with team leads and management on process improvements.
- Manage daily work volumes efficiently, ensuring tasks are completed on time with high quality.
- Deliver clear and effective written and verbal communication to appropriate parties.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum three years' experience in financial services, ideally with exposure to custody operations and/or fixed income or trade lifecycle management.
- At least two years dealing with trade lifecycle, settlements, or fails management.
- Familiarity with tools such as OMGEO Alert, CTM, CLS, and Finastra is advantageous.
- Thorough understanding of equity and foreign currency (non-USD) trading and settlement.
- Strong knowledge of industry-standard market settlement practices and FX settlement operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience with agile methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong data analytical skills.
- Ability to identify high-risk items promptly, escalate or resolve issues to minimize financial loss.
- Capable of devising effective action plans to address daily operational problems.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

This position supports Fidelity's Global Middle Office, servicing trading desks worldwide by facilitating trade confirmations, settlements, income collection, corporate actions, and securities lending. The role ensures trading operations function smoothly across multiple countries by coordinating with various internal departments and external counterparties.
