Tower Crane Operator

Job Overview

We are looking for a responsible Tower Crane Operator to efficiently and safely handle lifting, moving, and positioning of construction materials at our site. The role involves regular inspections, following safety protocols, and coordinating with on-site personnel to ensure smooth and hazard-free crane operations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate tower crane for lifting and shifting construction materials like steel, concrete buckets, shuttering materials, and equipment following all safety guidelines.
• Conduct thorough daily pre-start inspections covering brakes, hooks, wire ropes, limit switches, controls, and safety devices.
• Adhere to lifting plans, load charts, and safe working loads (SWL) along with site safety norms.
• Communicate effectively with signalman, rigger, and site supervisors using hand signals and radios during lifting operations.
• Ensure accurate load positioning and stability before release.
• Monitor weather conditions including wind to maintain safety during crane use.
• Report any abnormal noises, mechanical faults, safety risks, or equipment problems promptly.
• Maintain detailed logbooks documenting crane operations, inspections, and any breakdowns.
• Prevent unauthorized access around crane operating zones to ensure site safety.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all health, safety, and environment (HSE) requirements.
• Halt crane operations immediately upon detecting unsafe conditions.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff during inspections and routine servicing as needed.
• Operate strictly within manufacturer's guidelines and approved site lifting protocols.
