Job Overview

Join Wonder Albania as a Tourism Specialist taking on the role of Technical Director. This position is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing tour operations, and collaborating on strategic business initiatives to enhance tourism offerings in Albania.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Technical Director for the company ensuring adherence to Albanian tourism laws.
• Review and approve tour itineraries and products to maintain quality standards.
• Establish and nurture partnerships with hotels, local guides, transportation providers, and other collaborators.
• Monitor and guarantee the high service quality of all organized tours.
• Provide strategic advice to management on tourism development and operational efficiency.
• Assist with licensing processes, audits, and necessary regulatory documentation.
• Contribute to the creation of innovative tourism products and experiences.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Tourism, Tourism Management, Travel & Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in a tour operator, DMC, travel agency, or similar tourism sector entity.
• In-depth knowledge of tour operations, itinerary design, supplier coordination, and industry regulations.
• Strong organizational and communication capabilities.
• Proficiency in English, with a preference for advanced level (C1). Additional languages such as French, Italian, German, or Spanish are valuable assets.
• Legally eligible to serve as the Technical Director for a licensed Albanian Tour Operator.
• Experience engaging with online travel agencies (OTAs) like Viator, GetYourGuide, Expedia, or Booking.com is advantageous.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, booking software, or tourism management platforms is a plus.
• Adaptability to fast-paced startup environments with evolving procedures and products.
