Job Overview

Immediate requirement for one Senior Total Station Surveyor / Site Lead to conduct stockpile quantity surveys at the integrated steel plant located in Dolvi (Pen), Raigad, Maharashtra. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly salary ranging from ₹40,000 to ₹55,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Lead physical stock verification and quantity surveys of stockpiles such as coal, coke, iron ore, pellets, sinter, and fluxes using total station equipment across raw-material yards, jetties, and railway sidings
• Establish instrumentation setup from control points within the plant; accurately identify key features including toes, crests, and break-lines to ensure volume calculations are precise
• Collect bulk density samples for each stockpile during every survey following the box method
• Serve as the primary liaison with the plant's raw-material handling system (RMHS) team; plan daily survey activities, maintain the Permit to Work, and verify data quality before leaving the site
• Download raw data from instruments daily and forward it to the Bengaluru GIS team; provide concise end-of-day survey reports
• Conduct surveys approximately three times per month and additional mid-week sessions; also, travel 2–3 days monthly to a port site in Ratnagiri with all travel, accommodation, and meals covered by Flybi

Working Hours

The role involves working six days a week from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years operating total station instruments with demonstrated experience in quantity or volume surveys for stockpiles, preferably within steel plants, mines, ports, cement, or power plants
• Educational qualifications: ITI Surveyor certification, Diploma in Civil Engineering, or completion of 12th grade plus a surveying course
• Proficiency with instruments such as Leica, Trimble, Sokkia, Topcon, or equivalents, including data downloading and validation expertise
• Comfortable interacting with plant personnel; prior experience in an operational steel plant environment is advantageous
• Ability to communicate in Hindi or Marathi and read English menus on instruments
• Immediate availability to join; age between 18 and 58 years; medically fit; clear police verification; valid Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account required

Recruitment Process

Approval from the plant is mandatory for joining.
