Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Toolmaker or skilled tradesperson to join a growing, high-technology manufacturing environment in Leixlip, County Kildare. The role involves working with advanced injection moulding technology, supporting new product introductions, and ensuring the upkeep of high-precision tooling in a fast-paced facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair and upkeep of high-precision injection moulds, such as multi-cavity, hot runner, valve-gated, and stack moulds.
  • Assisting with tool assembly, changes, trials, and validation processes.
  • Fabrication and repair of jigs, fixtures, and mould spare components.
  • Collaborating with Production and Engineering teams to troubleshoot tooling challenges.
  • Driving continuous improvement and supporting process enhancements.
  • Maintaining adherence to quality, safety, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • A toolmaking certification is preferred but not essential.
  • Background in trades such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Carpentry is advantageous.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or regulated GMP environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Familiarity with milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders is highly desirable.
  • Experience operating forklifts and knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures is a plus.
