About the Role
We are seeking an immediate hire for the position of Tool Preparer, who will be responsible for ensuring that production tools are clean, maintained, and ready for use. This role is pivotal to supporting our efficiency and quality standards in manufacturing, helping us contribute to the future of aviation technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare tools and fixtures through processes such as sanding, scraping, washing, and applying parting agents.
- Inspect tools returned from use, conduct minor repairs, and relocate tools requiring significant repair to designated areas.
- Keep detailed and accurate records to monitor the condition and status of tools and fixtures.
- Handle and store tools properly, ensuring they are moved on time to the scheduled work areas.
- Remove parts from their packaging or bags as needed to support production processes.
Candidate Requirements
- High school diploma, equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification is mandatory.
- Ability to work in shop environments with exposure to substances such as ketone and parting agents.
- Basic understanding of tools is beneficial.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods during shifts.
